About Me

La Reine Yose is a Cameroonian-born artist whose musical journey began in the North West Province of her homeland. Demonstrating a prodigious talent from the age of six, she honed her craft through dedicated participation in choirs throughout her primary and secondary education.

Her artistic development continued at the university level, where she became a pivotal member of acclaimed girl groups such as Emotionless Girls and Lil Shorties. It was during this formative period that she adopted the stage name Rosychicks, captivating audiences with dynamic interpretations of iconic artists like Missy Elliott and Eve.
In a decisive move to fully commit to her passion, La Reine Yose interrupted her studies in the UK in 2006

Her journey led her to Germany in 2008, where she further refined the album’s sound by partnering with producers Seth Darkoh, MP, Joseph Odogwu, and Ransomart. Beyond her solo work, La Reine Yose has demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit by founding the band “Afrikan Logik” and establishing a non-profit association dedicated to supporting African children.

Having worked in various countries including Nigeria, she has immersed herself in the vibrant music scene and began work on her debut album, Tears and Laughter. The project served as a powerful narrative of her personal life experiences, crafted in collaboration with renowned producers including Soso Beat, Jessy Brown, Charlie Chaplin, and Toy Tunes.

The Sound

Her sound is a compelling fusion of Afrosoul, Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, and Makossa. La Reine Yose recently unveiled her latest EP on May 2nd, 2025, featuring standout tracks such as “Kilimanjaro,” “Tolambo,” and “Mayélé.” The project boasts collaborations with distinguished producers including The Wicked Vibes, Dan 1er, and XXMohren, marking an exciting new chapter in her evolving musical legacy.
